Flashback to My First Trail Review

For six years now Asa and I have been sharing our Dog Friendly Places reviews on our blog Living with a Golden. Curious, I decided to take a look back at my first trail review, and I must say I impressed even myself. As an up and coming film maker, I decided rather than hire my Dad as my film crew I would do all the camera work myself. Thus allowing me to use my limited funds and experience on special effects and graphics. Vaughan Woods Memorial State Park in South Berwick, Maine never looked so good, if I do say so myself!

I’m sure that after watching my 2015 Academy Award worthy production for Best Documentary you’ll want to visit Vaughan Woods too. Vaughan Woods Memorial State Park is located on Oldfields Road in South Berwick, Maine. Consisting of 250 acres of forest along the Salmon Falls River, the trails are well marked and range from easy to moderate. There is a nominal entrance fee.

Dogs are allowed on-leash, and owners must clean up after them in this carry-out park. Vaughan Woods is adjacent to Hamilton House and Gardens, which is owned by Historic New England. Well-behaved dogs on-leash are welcome on the grounds of Hamilton House. However, they must be respectful of the gardens and museum guests.

And now for the feature we’ve all been waiting for, my 2015 video of Vaughan Woods Memorial State Park…
