I Got Locked Out

Well it happened again. We got locked out of the house. This isn’t the first time this happened. Nor will it be the last. So of course while we waited for the door to open, Asa wrote a song parody about it. This time it is to Chumbawamba’s earworm, “Tubthumping.” Except for us the song is called Door Thumping!

I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys
I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys
I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys
I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys

Playing outside today
Playing outside today

She grabbed a squeaky ball
She grabbed the yummy treats
She grabbed the poop bags
She grabbed an extra leash

Should sing a song that reminds her
Of the house keys
Should sing a song that reminds her
Of the last time

Oh Mom’s annoyed, Mom’s annoyed, Mom’s annoyed

I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys
I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys
I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys
I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys

Playing outside today
Playing outside today

She grabbed a squeaky ball
She grabbed the yummy treats
She grabbed the poop bags
She grabbed an extra leash

Should sing a song that reminds her
Of the house keys
Should sing a song that reminds her
Of the last time

Don’t laugh at me
Next door neighbor

I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys
I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys
I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys
I got locked out, when I went out again
My Mom forgot the house keys

We’ll be barking
While we’re waiting
We’ll be barking…

Chorus repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat until Dad either hears us or notices we’ve been missing for awhile!
