New England Golden Jubilee 2022

Attention Golden Retrievers! Mark your calendars because in exactly one month, on May 21, 2022 Golden Retrievers from throughout New England and beyond will be partying at the 8th Annual New England Golden Jubilee!

Golden Retrievers will be gathering at Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury, Vermont with a purpose – to support the critical research of the Morris Animal Foundation’s Golden Retriever Lifetime Study, to honor the important mission of Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, to remember special Golden angels, and to celebrate what it means to be a Golden Retriever!  According to the organizers of the New England Golden Jubilee, Sandra and Peter Lok, “The mere presence of a Golden Retriever, their soft fur, wide smiles and soulful eyes, helps to enrich our lives.  The New England Golden Jubilee is about helping to enrich the lives of these beloved beings.  We’ll celebrate their very presence and indulge their playful spirits with pure Golden Fun!”

The day will be filled with games, swimming, hiking, and everyone’s favorite highlight – the Great Tennis Ball Toss! Special thanks to the Glastonbury Tennis Club for their donation of 150 tennis balls! Rico, Tango, Fireball, Porsche and Martini, will also be performing at the Jubilee with their fancy freestyle dance moves! We are also pleased to share that Quite Fetching Barkery will once again be making freshly baked pup cakes to serve at the event, as well as sending home treats in the goodie bags! Speaking of swag bags, big bark out to Earth Rated for once again donating poop bags for all of the goodie bags, and Fish4Dogs for their delicious snacks too!

This year also marks the return of the Kibble Cup Auction to benefit Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue. Raffle tickets will be available only at the event. Prizes include awesome gift baskets with items for both dogs and humans, including a handcrafted Giant Jenga Set with the New England Golden Jubilee logo! There is still time to donate items to the auction, but please do it soon so that volunteers will have time to make the raffle baskets.

Although the New England Golden Jubilee is a joyous celebration, it is also a time to pay tribute to dear friends who have crossed Rainbow Bridge. As in previous years, we will gather in front of Dog Chapel in their memory, as well as honor the Heroes participating in the Morris Animal Foundation’s Golden Retriever Lifetime Study. And we’d be remiss if we didn’t say a huge THANK YOU to Dog Mountain Home of Stephen Huneck Gallery for hosting this annual event.

So what are you waiting for?  Register now!  Registration is FREE, but monetary donations to help cover the cost of the New England Golden Jubilee are very much appreciated. All remaining funds will be donated to the Morris Animal Foundation’s Golden Retriever Lifetime Study.  To learn more about this Golden celebration including dog friendly hotels and campgrounds in the area, schedule of events, and to register, please visit New England Golden Jubilee, and be sure to follow them on Facebook for all the latest updates!
