Where’s My Honey Vinaigrette?

I once thought Asa and I were a tad bit spoiled when it came to our meals.  In fact, I even foolishly thought that on most days we ate better than Mom and Dad.  However, in light of recent events I realize I was sadly mistaken.  To celebrate their anniversary, Mom and Dad went to a fancy restaurant, which is a rare treat for them.  Before heading out though, Mom fed us our typical dinner of kibble with kale, strawberries, blueberries and chicken mixed in with it.  Just a boring everyday meal, that Asa and I wolf down in a matter of minutes.

Anyways, to pass the time while they were rudely out without us, I decided to Google the menu of the restaurant.  I was pleased to see my dinner, well minus the kibble, was on that five star menu.  There was a salad with mixed greens, strawberries, blueberries, and grilled chicken.  Proving once again, nothing but the best for us!

However, Asa pointed out that salad also had goat cheese, roast beets, and a honey vinaigrette!  Leading me to only one conclusion.  We’re not spoiled!  In fact, we’re horribly neglected!  Mom needs to add more to our meals!  How could she be so mean as to deny us cheese and honey?  Not sure what a beet is, but we should get that too!  Adding insult to injury, they didn’t even bring us home a doggy bag from their big night out.  How could I be so silly to think they fed me nothing but the best?

You call this a proper dinner? Pbbzlt! Where’s my honey vinaigrette?
